It is impossible to have a good sales team without good leadership, plain and simple. Why is it that companies focus primarily on just the sales staff? When they should be working with thier managers and team leaders to create a culture of profit and growth within their organization. A good leader is constantly learning, growing and improving; companies should inspire their leaders to reach their maximum potential and get the most from their team.
Companies need to focus on giving their managers concrete skills that will help them utilize all the talents latent within their workforce. A manager has to have a variety of skills to be successful, and they should be taught a variety of skills that help their managers become the best they can be.
Management training should consist of a series of courses, teaching different skills that build upon each other. With good management and leadership, an organization will see, and can expect, a reduction in costs and an increase in profits.
