Studies have show that when change is introduced, 15% of your target participants will readily accept it. Another 15% will totally reject it and fight you tooth-and-nail to the end. Finally, 70% will do nothing and hope it goes away, or wait until a new initiative shows itself.

Training requires that people change what they do. Since 15% have already adopted the change, and 15% will reject the change, all you have to do is worry about the remaining 70%. Ever wonder why some great training is provided and nothing happens. What is missing is the “change strategy”.

Some of the change management tools available to you are:

* Obtain high level executive sponsor.
* Create a team of stakeholders to help you design and review the training.
* Put in a measurement metric which holds individuals accountable.
* Employ a regular communications strategies that keeps everyone involved.
